Since there's only one month until Christmas I decided to start working for my collection early. Here are some of the things I made:

Applique Technique Flower Tutorial

I promised you a tutorial and here it is. You will learn how to make earrings like the ones in the following image.

Asa cum v-am promis va prezint mai jos un tutorial prin care sa invatati cum sa faceti cercei ca cei verzi din imagine. De fapt, aceeasi.

Tips:
-use a toothpick or a thicker needle to make rounder shapes
-continue applying petals in the free spaces that are formed to create a bigger and more detailed flower
-you can use different petal sizes and shapes  for interesting effects

Sfaturi:
- folositi o scobitoare sau un ac mai gros pentru a da forme mai rotunde
- continuati sa puneti petale in spatiile libere dintre petalele deja puse pentru a face o floare mare si detaliata
-puteti folosi marimi de petale diferite sau forme diferite pentru efecte mai interesante

Applique technique/ Tehnica Applique

The Jennifer Morris technique or the applique technique is a classic technique used on polymer clay. This among other techniques such as Mokume Gane or filigree are basic techniques that artists use to create various effects. The technique can vary depending on your skill, some may use rounder, irregular and easier to make shapes, other will use patterns or elongated shapes for their applied. Some of the well-known artists that use this technique are Jennifer Morris and Eva Thissen, both with a very different. While Jennifer Morris goes for the crowded and richer design, Eva Thissen has a more contemporary, more minimalistic design. Both of them manage to create beautiful accessories with a great unique touch to any outfit.

A lot of artists have since then started using the applique technique, especially in creating flowers. It’s a pretty easy technique and doesn’t require much skill if done in a more rudimentary way, only tremendous amount of patience. But some applique techniques such as Eva Thissen’s may prove to be more challenging as they require a steady hand and very precise elements.

I have used this technique in the following designs and I will incorporate in some of my pendants. Soon I will even post a tutorial followed by a little autumn giveaway since I missed the August giveaway I promised. 

Tehnica Jennifer Morris sau tehnica applique e o tehnica classica folosita cu lutul polimeric. Aceasta impreuna cu alte tehnici ca Mokume Gane sau filigree sunt de baza si sunt folosite de artisti pentru a crea diferite efecte. Tehnica poate varia in functie de nivel, unii pot folosi forme mai rotunde, neregulate si usor de aplicat iar altii vor folosi elemente mai lungi sau anumite modele. Unii dintre cei mai cunoscuti artisti care folosesc aceasta tehnica sunt Jennifer Morris si Eva Thissen, amandoua foarte diferite ca rezultat final. In timp ce Jennifer Morris alege un design mai plin si mai inghesuit, Eva Thissen vine cu un design mai minimalist si mai contemporan. Totusi, ambele reusesc sa creeze accesorii frumoase care dau unicitate oricarei tinute.

Multi artisti au incercat sa foloseasca aceasta tehnica, in special in crearea florilor. Este o tehnica destul de usoara, nu necesita un mare nivel de cunostiinte sau indemanare daca este facuta intr-un mod mai rudimentar, insa de fiecare data necesita o groaza de rabdare. Desigur, unele tehnici applique ca cele ale Evei de exemplu pot fi extrem de dificile deoarece necesita o mana sigura si elemente extrem de precise.

Am folosit aceasta tehnica in urmatoarele design-uri si o voi folosi mai des in pandantivele mele. In curand voi posta si un tutorial urmat de un mic giveaway de toamna, din moment ce am pierdut giveaway-ul din August mult promis.

Anna Karenina Pendant

I read Anna Karenina when I was young and I always thought this was a great novel. There are some things that can be discussed when it comes to what Tolstoi wanted when he wrote the novel, but it's a great reading material overall. I loved how Anna was crafted, she was a complex female character, perhaps too similar to women than they might want to acknowledge. She was a romantic, looking for love, for passion and for a complete relationship with another person. However, due to the environment, the period and those around her, including her loved, things weren't pretty for her in the end. Apparently Tolstoy wanted to show that the traits and ways of life that were promoted by liberals in those times such as the less significant institution of marriage, were degrading a person's moral and mental stability, and in the end, they had to suffer. I don't necessarily agree with it, but he must have changed some perspective in some.

Here I tried to recreate the main female character, a beautiful woman with a sad look, a woman seen perfect through the eyes of others. She had black curly hair and an amazing elegance.

Am citit Anna Karenina cand eram mica si mereu mi s-a parut un roman fain. Sunt niste lucruri discutabile cand vine vorba despre motivul pentru care Tolstoi a scris aceasta carte, dar per total este o carte buna. Mi-a placut cum a fost "tesuta" Anna, era o femeie complexa, poate prea similara cu femeile in general, mult prea similara decat ar vrea multe sa recunoasca. Era romantica si cauta dragostea, pasiunea si o relatie completa cu o alta persoana. Totusi, datorita mediului, perioadei si a oamenilor din jurul ei, chiar si iubitul ei, lucrurile nu au fost tocmai bune pentru ea in final. Aparent Tolstoi a dorit sa arate ca lumii trasaturile si modul de viata promovate de liberali in acele timpuri, cum ar fi o institutia a casatoriei mai putin importanta, ar fi degradat o persoana nu numai dpdv moral dar si emotional, iar in final, acestia ar fi suferit. Nu sunt de acord neaparat cu opinia lui dar probabil aceasta carte a schimbat perspectivele multor oameni. 

Aici am incercat sa recreez personajul feminin principal, o femeie frumoasa cu o privire trista, o femeie care era vazuta ca si perfecta in ochii celorlalti. Anna avea parul negru si o eleganta aparte.

Mini Abigails

I made some very small Abigails, they are about 2.5 cm long (0.9 inches). The pictures aren't very good because it was cloudy and my camera is old and bad.

Am facut niste mici Abigail, sunt aproximativ 2.5 cm lungime. Pozele nu-s prea bune deoarece era innorat si aparatul meu foto e vechi si prost. 

Sunshine and Mint/ Raze de soare si menta

I made a few more pendants in some very summery colors. I've been thinking about doing a beautiful minty color pendant and here it is, along with the yellow one. I also used some Swarovski crystals on both of them and I ordered quite a few so you will be seeing more sparkles.

Am mai facut cateva pandantive in culori de vara. M-am gandit sa fac ceva cu o culoare de menta si iata-l impreuna cu cel galben. Am folosit si cristale Swarovski pe amandoua si am comandat destul de multe asa ca o sa mai vedeti chestii stralucitoare.

Hello Everyone! I hope you had a great time during Easter holidays and I hope everyone is in good health after eating chocolate bunnies I wanted to make a necklace that would inspire you to wear red and feel beautiful so here it is. I worked a lot on this and loved it and I hope you guys like it.

Salutare la toata lumea! Sper ca v-ati simtit bine de sarbatori si sper ca toata lumea este sanatoasa dupa ce a mancat iepurasi de ciocolata. Am vrut sa fac un colier care sa va inspire sa purtati rosu sii sa va simtiti frumoase asa. Am muncit mult la el si mi-a placut asa ca sper sa va placa si voua.

New Stuff - A bunch of rings

I wanted to make some sort of quilling technique on my polymer clay jewelry so I came up with a bunch of rings that I'm going to show you.Some are with applique and this quilling thing while others are just with this quilling technique.

Am vrut sa aplic tehnica quilling la bjuteriile mele asa ca am facut urmatoarele inele. Unele au si tehnica applique in timp ce altele sunt facute doar cu tehnica aceasta de "quilling":
