Spring Pendant

I love working with extruders and this pendant is made using this technique.  I wanted something cute and colorful and I think I managed to do it. The pendant is made with polymer clay, stainless steel, organza and a small wooden bead.

It's March, Spring seems to be so far away. I made this... I wanted flowers. I wanted Spring. I don't have Spring, all I have are these frozen flowers. And snow. 

Spring colors

I've been working on some new pieces that will have a lot of bright beautiful colors. I got some of my inspiration from nature and I wanted to use organic shapes. I was inspired by Thomas Medek. Here are some pictures that inspired me:

I made this brooch out of polymer clay and used a bronze pin on the back (sorry I didn't include that in the pics). I wanted to create something colorful and summery.

I got my order of Cernit today....I'm so happy....I'm going to make some very small and thin pieces and I needed some hard clay. However, Fimo is a bit too soft and it might break. So I got Cernit. I also like the nice porcelain finish it has after you bake it.

Colorful Set - No Extruder

Back in the days, I didn't know that I needed an extruder to make this colorful design, so I actually made a cane that looked like those from an extruder. This was a lot of work, but I was pretty happy with the colorful design. I made the earrings with porcelain beads and the pendant is cut in half and the two pieces are held together with silver jump rings (not sterling silver).
